Victor Bettendorf and Foxy de La Roque amaze with first ever LGCT GP win in Rome! "This makes me emotional!"

Topsport was delivered with eventually Victor Bettendorf amazing the crowd with his first ever clear in the LGCT Grand Prix of Rome. The Luxumburger rider eventually jumped to his first ever LGCT GRand Prix victory after a Jump-Off with six. Bettendorf claimed the win aboard his only 9-year-old, Foxy de la Roque (Armitages boy)!

"Rome has been really good to me," the show jumper laughs. "I didn't feel the pressure to win. I wanted to gain good experience this week. Bettendorf and the nine-year-old daughter of Armitages Boy won with more than one second ahead of Simon Delestre and the 11-year-old KWPN'er, I Amelusina R 51 (Dexter R). Together with Messi van 't Ruytershof (Plot Blue), the German rider, Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmerman jumped to the eventual third place.

"I did have a tactic before I went into the arena. Nobody had been clear yet. I just wanted to stay clear and Messi... he was just fantastic. He was full of power and focus!" Zimmerman completed the Grand Prix podium for Christian Kukuk and the 10-year-old KWPN mare, Just Be Gentle (Tyson).

Dutchman, Maikel van der Vleuten won on Saturday with Madrid in Motion the Global Champions League. Together with the 14-year-old Bustique-son, Beauville Z N.O.P. the Dutchman completed the top five of the Grand Prix!
