The CSI4* Grand Prix over 1.55m in Vejer de la Frontera brought together 49 combinations, with five progressing to the jump-off where the competition reached its peak. In a fast and demanding final round, it was Stephan de Freitas Barcha who emerged on top.
Riding Chevaux Primavera Imperio Egipcio (Calvaro F.C.), Barcha delivered a clear round in the jump-off and set the winning time of 44.30 seconds. Ireland’s Niamh McEvoy followed closely in second place aboard Olympic ‘GL’ ‘FVD’ (Galisco van Paemel), also faultless in 44.97 seconds. Spain’s Julio Arias Cueva completed the top three with Filou du Manoir (Salto d'Isle) , finishing on four penalties in 45.88 seconds.
Great Britain’s Sameh El Dahan placed fourth with Oscar-A (Harley) after an eight-fault round in 46.42 seconds, while Jason Foley secured fifth place riding Chedington Hazy Toulana (Toulon), also with eight penalties in 47.43 seconds.
