World's top show jumping talent to descend on the Circus Maximus in Rome

The Longines Global Champions Tour heads to Rome for the penultimate stage of the 2024 Championship. The competition for the 2024 title has reached a critical point as riders prepare to fight for victory in the final two stages, as well as claim only one of two remaining tickets to the LGCT Super Grand Prix in Riyadh this November.

The equestrian world is gearing up for an epic showdown as the Longines Global Champions Tour makes its return to the heart of Rome. With Championship leader Max Kühner set to compete this weekend in Rome, fans will be waiting with bated breath to see if the Austrian can secure his spot at the top of the 2024 LGCT Championship podium. Putting the pressure on Kühner is Germany’s gold medalist Christian Kukuk who has his eye on the top spot and will be looking to secure maximum points as the tour lights up the Circus Maximus, August 30 – September 1. Third placed Maikel van der Vleuten of the Netherlands is also headed to Rome to defend his podium position.

International show jumping stars such as Edwina Tops-Alexander of Australia, Spain’s Eduardo Alvarez Aznar, Germany’s Christian Ahlmann, and British show jumping icon John Whitaker are also headed to the Eternal City.

Italian fans will be able to witness show jumping talents like Piergiorgio Bucci, Emanuele Gaudiano, Emanuele Camilli, and Francesco Turturiello.

Joining them will be a host of U25 talent, including Italy’s Giacomo Casadei, Sara Vingralkova from the Czech Republic, Michael Pender of Ireland, and France’s Antoine Ermann.
