The Royal Dutch Equestrian Federation (KNHS) is terminating its partnership with show jumping national coach Wout-Jan van der Schans as of December 31, 2026. The decision comes as a bolt from the blue for the national coach, who will not be allowed to complete the path he built toward the major international targets. The KNHS must appoint a successor by the end of December at the latest. "I was horribly caught off guard," says Van der Schans. "But new management, new rules, and I'll just have to accept that..."
