In the gardens of Villa Borghese, riders competed today for victory in the iconic Rolex Grand Prix of Rome! The Rolex Grand Prix in Rome, which was held on Italian soil for the very first time last year, was then won by American rider Karl Cook and Caracole de La Roque (by Zandor Z).

Spots in the second round of the Rolex Grand Prix were reserved for the top 12 riders. Yuri Mansur (BRA) claimed victory in this 1.60m Rolex Grand Prix of Rome. The Brazilian rider secured this convincing win with Miss Blue-Saint Blue Farm, a daughter of Chacco-Blue. The pair delivered another clear round and raced to the win in a time of 35.65 seconds. "This is a mare from Brazil, she didn’t have any experience when she left there but in three years since 2022 she has given me my best wins. And I feel it’s just the beginning, we’ve had some bad luck with health problems but now she is good again and she is doing an unbelievable job!"

Just a few hundredths of a second later, Ireland’s Cian O’Connor (IRL) crossed the finish line aboard the Zangersheide gelding Iron Man (by Charisma Z). O’Connor was over a second faster than Nina Mallevaey (FRA), who completed the podium. Mallevaey relied on Dynastie de Beaufour, a daughter of Diamant de Semilly.

Just off the podium was the pair Seamus Hughes Kennedy (IRL) and Esi Rocky (by Stakkato Gold), who secured fourth place with a clear second round. Stephan de Freitas Barcha (BRA) was the only other rider to jump a clear second round, earning him a well-deserved fifth place aboard Chevaux Primavera Imperio Egipcio (by Calvaro F.C.).
