Reflecting on his performance, Ahlmann shared how much the win meant to him: "Over the past two years, I’ve mostly been stuck in the middle ranks, so I really savored this victory lap." It’s not his first success in Hamburg, he previously claimed the Grand Prix title in 2013 with Codex and again in 2022 with Dominator 2000 Z.

Now, Ahlmann looks to the future with optimism. "With Untouched and Dourkhan, I hope these two can eventually fill the big shoes of a horse like Codex," he said.

Meanwhile, Christian Kukuk was more reserved about his jump-off round. "Honestly, it didn’t go quite as planned," he admitted. "From the first to the second fence, I made things difficult for Checker and ended up adding an extra stride—that was unfortunate. Then he stumbled a bit after the second-to-last jump. Even so, I’m really happy with him and proud of our second-place finish. The initial round was already quite tough, and not every day can go like it did in Paris. Today, I’m happy for Christian—his riding genius really came through."
