[NXTGEN] Mathieu Bourdeaud'Hui: "I always try to listen to my horses, they decide pace ..."

The year 2024 was a year full of highlights for Belgian young rider Mathieu Bourdeaud’hui. In Mechelen, he drew attention with Oscar the Homage (Quint vh Maarlo) in the CSI5* competition. A few months earlier, he had already won the Grand Prix of Vejer de La Frontera and secured a silver medal at the World Championship for seven-year-old show jumping horses during the FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championships. For this success, he relied on Remco van den Uilenbos (Nixon van ’t Meulenhof).  "Those performances really gave me a great feeling," says Bourdeaud’hui. "When you're in a good flow as a rider, you sometimes want more, but the essence is that it motivates you to perform even better!"
