At both national and international levels, their presence is mandatory. Regionally, they are becoming increasingly common—and rightfully so! The first aid team following the sport from the sidelines provides a beacon of safety and peace of mind at every competition. Over time, a kind of ‘monopoly’ has developed, with Danny Apers and his team present at almost every equestrian event to ensure First Aid services. “I have come to greatly appreciate the sport.
