The USET (United States Equestrian Team) Foundation presented the organisation's three most prestigious awards to Brian Moggre, Boyd Martin and Abigail Wexner. The price giving ceremony was held on January 17th at the "Take Me To Tokyo"-gala in Wellington.
The 2020 Lionel Guerrand-Hermès Trophy goes to a junior/ young rider in one of the Olympic Disciplines who demonstrates the team's values of sportsmanship and horsemanship. With Brian Moggre, 19 years old, winning the trophy he is now also identified as an athlete with great potential.
Moggre won both the Longines World Cup leg in Ocala and the one in Lexington.
Abigail Werner was awarded with the R. Bruce Duchossois Distinguished Trustee Award, recognizing her distinguished service to the USET Foundation Board of Trustees. Wexner has been a member of the board for 12 years. Wexner is partnered with Beezie Madden for more than 15 years. The number of medals is huge, making it a very successful partnership.
