Aged 20-years-old, the former top show jumper, Carusso LS La Silla (Montebello La Silla x Joost) has passed away. The son of Montebello La Silla impressed in his career with Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, Alberto Michan and Jeroen Dubbeldam.
"Thank you for all the joy," La Silla Stud announced.
Together with Bengtsson the stallion competed up to a CSI5* Grand Prix level. The pair jumped on stage in Lyon, Oslo, Redefin, Rio de Janeiro, Valkenswaard and Zurich. In 2013 Michan took over the reins and represented his country at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen.
Two years later, in 2016, it was Dubbeldam competing the sire. The pair jumped in the spotlights in Amsterdam, Arezzo, Ommen and St Tropez.
Our thoughts go to the team of Carusso LS La Silla.
