Last year, Junius was still being competed by Vincent Zacharias Bourguignon. In April, Gilles Thomas took over the reins with the goal of selling him. "Selling Junius was the goal from the very beginning," says Marc Van Dijck.

"Junius certainly could have been an added value for Gilles in Aachen or Calgary, but trading is part of our business."

The 10-year-old gelding jumped to a top ten finish in the 2024 Small Tour of Wiesbaden—under Vincent Zacharias Bourguignon—as well as in the World Cup Grand Prix of Tetouan. With Gilles Thomas, the grey also placed in the 1.55m CSI5* in Fontainebleau.
