Belgian champion Gilles Thomas sees one of his assets leave the stables. In Fontainebleau, Gilles Thomas still managed to shine at the 1.55m level with Junius vd Heffinck (Jos van d’Abdijhoeve x Cabrio vd Heffinck). This past weekend, the grey made his debut with Jorge Matte Capdevilla.
Last year, Junius was still being competed by Vincent Zacharias Bourguignon. In April, Gilles Thomas took over the reins with the goal of selling him. "Selling Junius was the goal from the very beginning," says Marc Van Dijck.
"Junius certainly could have been an added value for Gilles in Aachen or Calgary, but trading is part of our business."
