Reigning Belgian champion Gilles Thomas has announced that one of his top stallions, Elfra Van Beek, has left his stables. The duo recently competed in the Global Champions Tour events in Shanghai and Mexico!
At the Longines Global Champions Tour in Shanghai earlier this month, Gilles Thomas was unable to repeat his 2024 Grand Prix victory. The pair ultimately finished in second place. Earlier this year, they also claimed prizes in the CSI5* GCT Grand Prix of Mexico City and made the podium in the 1.50m CSI4* Medium Tour final at the Sunshine Tour!
The approved stallion is a son of El Salvador (dam sire: Vagabond de la Pomme) and was bred by Guido Herrijgers. He was initially trained internationally by Bart Lips. In 2021, Gilles Thomas took over the reins of the now 11-year-old stallion.
"We say goodbye to Elfra van Beek Z and wish him the best of luck with his new owner/rider! Thank you for all the wonderful memories," Thomas says.
