Iron Man van de Padenborre passed away

Today the owners of the 15-year-old stallion, Iron Man van de Padenborre (Darco) have announced the passing away. "Thank you for all the magical moments you gave our family..." says Logan Leemans.

"You leave us as a champion," Leemans finishes. The  15-year-old stallion by Darco has jumped to the highest level with Gregory Wathelet. Last year however a rider transfer was announced. The stallion was sold, through Karel Cox to Poland.

Together with Wathelet the stallion competed his last international competition at the 2022 FEI Nations Cup finals in Barcelona. Last year the pair also won a 1.55m class in the CSI5* Longines Global Champions Tour in London and at the CSIO5* Piazza di Siena in Rome and in Paris. Before Stefan Corten, Brecht Bille and Dayro Arroyave competed the stallion.

Also as a sire, the Belgian Warmblood stallion, bred by André Leemans,  made his mark. Most famous offspring are Irona van de Viking Z and VDL Groep Nino du Roton, both compete at a 1.50/1.55m level.

This year the black stallion should have focused on the breeding season with his new owners, Adamus Equestrian, but now suddenly passed away after a colic attack.
