Kendra Claricia Brinkop has had to bid farewell to Tabasco de Toxandria Z. The 9-year-old Zangersheide gelding by Thunder vd Zuuthoeve x Cento Lano had been under the German rider's saddle (with a small interruption) since 2011.

As a 6-year-old, Tabasco appeared at the start of the World Championships in Lanaken under Werner Dierckx, also the breeder of this Zangersheide gelding, who piloted him to sixth place in the final! His talent did not go unnoticed and Tabasco was purchased by Stephan Conter and Cian O'Connor.

Under the saddle of Brinkop, Tabasco competed internationally for the first time later that year. In early 2023, we saw Max Wachman start the gelding for the first time until the end of the summer. In October, Brinkop took the reins again and worked Tabasco up to five-star level, with their debut at the Saut Hermès in Paris where they concluded the Grand Prix in fourth place with a double-zero result. The pair shared the podium together in both the Nations Cup of Rome and La Baule.

In late September, Tom Wachman appeared on the scene again with the gelding, at the St. Tropez - Gassin show jumping competition where the pair competed at four-star level.
