Ahead of the CSI 5* World Cup competition in La Coruña, Spain, French show jumping rider Philippe Rozier has announced that he is adding a new asset to his stable of horses. On his social media, Rozier welcomed the eight-year-old gelding Quel Rebel van den Dries (Cornet Obolensky x Diamant de Semilly), bred by Sofie Van Aken.
The young gelding, who was knocked off at €50,000.00 two years ago at the Eye of the Master auction, the already has impressive performances to his name. Under his previous rider, Frenchman Adrien Bonneau, Quel Rebel recently finished 15th in the Grand Prix of the CSI2* in Rouen.
Rozier expressed his thanks to Bonneau for his excellent work with the gelding, and to his loyal owners, Mr. and Mrs. Baillet, for their years of support. “We are very excited about the future with Quel Rebel and look forward to seeing what this talented gelding can achieve,” the French rider noted.
Rozier will participate with his reinforced stable of horses in the highly regarded CSI5* in La Coruña next weekend.
