Epaillard explained after his round it wasn't his best round ever. "My mare, ( Caracole de la Roque., red.) wasn't very easy today," states Epaillard. "She was very hot and I actually had no control today. But she is an amazing mare, I can count on her. As long as I don't forget this is a championship where a lot can change during the days, we might still have a chance..."

In the individual ranking almost nothing changed in the top five. Scott Brash and Hello Jefferson (Cooper vd Heffinck) remain in second position ahead to Sweden's Peder Fredricson with H&M All In (Kashmir van Schuttershof) and Henrik von Eckermann aboard King Edward (Edward). Sweden stays on top of the team ranking

Sweden is unbeatable as it holds on the leading position in the team ranking. Henrik von Eckermann and his exceptional jumping King Edward (Edward), Jens Fredricson and the 11-year-old Markan Cosmopolit (Cohiba) and Peder Fredricson with H&M All In (Kashmir van Schuttershof) managed to produce a clear round. Malin Baryard-Johnsson and her 14-year-old, H&M Indiana (Kashmir van Schuttershof) jumped one rail down.

With 3.69 points team Sweden advances almost 2 points on team France. After a fall of reigning Belgium champion, Jos Verlooy and his Igor (Emerald) in the combination, team Belgium falls down to the fifth position. Making room for team Germany who jumps to the third spot and the Netherlands who advanced from place eight to four.
