Setting its sights on new talent and enhancing its long-standing reputation in the jumping circuit, Team Harmony has officially confirmed today 13th June 2018 new members both in and out of the arena. Twenty seven year old Anna-Julia Kontio (FIN) is due to make her debut with Team Harmony this weekend at Moorsele CSI in Belgium. Whilst twenty eight year old Peter Moloney (IRL) will be riding at Bolesworth CSI in Great Britain having recently ridden for the team earlier this year. All riders of Team Harmony will have the added benefit of the watchful eye and guidance of five time Olympian legend Markus Fuchs (SUI) who will become Team Harmony’s new coach. This new phase of development will additionally be bolstered by the appointment of Alain Storme as the Director of Team Harmony who played a pivotal role in its growth in the 90’s. Set up in 1994 by HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein under the guidance and encouragement of her late father HM King Hussein I, Team Harmony was instrumental in HRH Princess Haya’s equestrian career and long-standing passion for the sport. Announcing the new appointments HRH Princess Haya, said today: “Nearly twenty-five years since the creation of Team Harmony, I cannot express my excitement and pride in having such talent in the Team Harmony stable today. As my father gave me confidence and determination at the early stage of my own career, I now too can look forward to rebuilding something so close to my heart. I have been inspired by the energy and hungry talent of the new members and that, mixed with the expertise, skills and values of those around them will I know be an exciting chapter in Team Harmony’s future “ Newest member of the Team Anna- Julia Kontio, commented: ‘This is just an amazing opportunity for me which HRH Princess Haya has given me a chance to be part of Team Harmony and to wear the iconic black and gold, I’ve always worked hard for my goals and this is one big step in my life and career. Horses, riding and the sport with it is a big passion for me. I love to see horses improving and improve my riding every day.
