The 16-year-old Belgian Warmblood sire, Amaretto D'Arco (Darco x Tenor Maniais) has passed away. Bred by Luc De Snerck, the horse passed away after a colic surgery. Amaretto D'Arco is the full brother of Nicola Philippaerts' Grand Prix-horse, H&M Forever D'Arco ter Linden. The horse competed at the 2013 and 2011 European Championships in Herning and Madrid. Both times under the saddle of Ireland's Shane Sweetnam. In 2013 the combination also jumped at the World Cup Finals in Gotheborg. Together with the Irish show jumping team, the pair as well won the 2011 La Baule Nations Cup. Since March 2013 the stallion was competing under the saddle of USA's female rider, Katherine A Dinan.
