Top British ride Carl Hester awaited a special surprise at Royal Windsor Horse show yesterday. In honor of his achievements for the equestrian sport the Olympic dressage medalist received a royal award from the Queen her majesty herself. "Extremely proud day to top off a great week. Just received the Queen's Award for Services to Equestrianism. Thankfully no trips or gaffs!" Hester posted on his Facebook page. Between tutoring Charlotte Dujardin and co-owning Valegro the British dressage rider won a fair share of competitions himself. With Uthopia he was part of the Olympic team in London 2012 that sweeped away the Gold. This weekend Hester showed his skill again as he won the Grand Prix and the Kür with Dutch bred horse Nip Tuck at Royal Windsor Horse show.
