Christian Ahlmann and HH Azur are best earning show jumpers of the year .... so far

We're half way the year and some riders and horses did already impress with placing one after another splendid result. Among the show jumpers it is Ward McLain's compagnion, HH Azur (by Thunder van de Zuuthoeve ) who had the best placings so far. In total the 10-year-old mare jumped together 352,755 Euro since the beginning of this year. Ensuring a big gap between her and the current runner-up in the list of best earning (international) horses. HH Azur jumped to victory at the CSI5* Grand Prix in Wellington, earlier this year and more recently in the CSIO5* Grand Prix of Rome. The Holsteiner Chiara 222 (by Contender) follows in a second place after collecting a total of 279,655 Euro in prize money. Together with Ludger Beerbaum Chiara won last month's CSI5* Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix in Chantilly. In March the combination also jumped to victory in the Doha CSI5* GP. Günter Schüder's breeding product Chesall Zimequest (by Casall ASK) is current third in the list with 273,055 Euro in total. Under the saddle of France's Simon Delestre Chesall Zimequest jumped in the picture in last weekends Athina Onassis Horse Show in St. Tropez. The pair won the 1.50m and 1.55m class. Earlier this year Chesall also claimed victory in the 1.50m LGCT class in Shanghai. The top five of best earning show jumping horses is completed by Hello Forever (by For pleasure), earning 271,895 Euro and Lintea Tequila (by Campbell), earning 243,015 Euro. Best earning rider so far is however Zangerheide's main man; Christian Ahlmann. After placing no less than 23 times on stage this year, Ahlmann has collected a total of 831,765 euro in prize money so far. USA's Ward Mclain follows with 698,520 Euro while Simon Delestre is the third best earning rider so far with a total of 642,446 Euro.
