Corrado I, an icon, passed away

It was a dark day for the equestrian showjumping community as Corrado I has passed away, aged 33-years-old. The white stallion impressed in the arena under the saddle of Franke Sloothaak. The pair won the 1996 World Cup competition in Gothenborg. Together with the Cor de la Bryère-son Sloothaake finished the career of the stallion in style with a third place in the Hannover Grand Prix. Corrado I mainly was the foundation of the modern breeding sport. Without Corrado I there wouldn't have been Corradina, Cornet Obolensky, Comme Il Faut, Clinton, etc.
