Belgium's Dirk Demeersman and his top horse Bufero vh Panishof (by Parco) go separate ways. The horse-rider combination jumped together several international successes. Amongst them some clear rounds in the FEI Furusiyya Nations Cup series. Further they competed at the Olympic Games in London and the European Championships in Herning, Danmark. "After a meeting with the owners and the Belgium national federation I decided to return Bufero to his owners Jurgen and John Panis," explains Dirk Demeersman. "The owners are clear, they want to sell Bufero. I prefer to stay in the saddle with this magnificent horse. With Bufero gone STB Fleuri van Koekelberg will become my number one horse." Demeersman concludes that the separation with Bufero might be the next step as he has become the assistant of Belgium's coach Kurt Gravemeier. "Nevertheless I am and stay a rider," concludes the rider. Who will ride the 13-years-old Bufero in the future is yet unknown.
