The Canadian WEG rider Karen Pavicic has sold her Grand Prix horse Don Daiquiri. The pair competed at the 2014 WEG in Caen. The now 15 year old Oldenburg gelding has been sold to Israeli Saher Daniel Hirosh.
The Don Cardinale son was a big part of Pavicics career. On her Facebook she tells: "We have spent countless loving hours together over the past 9 years and it has been worth every moment. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to have this once in a lifetime horse in my life (thank you Jayne Essig). Dono has greatly impacted my life, taught me many lessons that I am grateful for, and fulfilled many of my lifetime goals."
She got the stallion when he was six year old, bringing him to a Grand Prix level in 2013. The next year they competed in the Word Equestrian Games in Caen where they finished in a 41th place in the Grand Prix. Last year she tried to enter with him for the Olympic Games in Rio, but stranded at a third place in the qualifications.
