Edward Levy snatches win from Laura Kraut in 4* Opening Class of Valkenswaard

In the first CSI4* Class of Valkenswaard, Edward Levy (FRA) rode to victory with Vitot du Chateau (v. Toulon). At firrst, Laura Kraut (USA) was leading the way on Calgary Tame (v. Old Chap Tame) but the Frenchman was one hundredth of a second faster! Fabio Leivas Da Costa (BRA) concluded the top three. 

The number nineteen of the world, Laura Kraut, was eight to go in this 1.45m class. With Calgary Tame under her saddle, the American rider set a fast time of 31,84s to go along with her clear ride. Nevertheless, Kraut wasn't long on top of the list as Frenchman Edward Levy followed only two combinations later. In the saddle of Vitot du Chateau, Levy stopped the time at 31,83s, being only one hundredth of a second faster then Kraut but referring her to second place. The other thirty combinations that followed weren't able to beat the fast time, as Levy, the number 88 of the world, took home the win.

The top three was concluded by Fabio Leivas Da Costa. The Brazilian rider had the nine year old Amigo W Z (v. Andiamo Z) as his weapon to end with 33,87s on three. Denis Lynch (IRL) followed almost over a second later and took fourth place with Vistogrand (v. Fantaland). Nicolas Pizarro (MEX) became fifth on Chacco S Airman PS (v. Chacco-Blue).
