For a while now there were some rumours about the sale of the Grand Prix horse of British dressage rider Fiona Bigwood. She however claimed that the horse would not be sold, until yesterday when she announced that her Atterupgaards Orthilia has been sold. The Oldenburg mare is now sold to her land of birth Denmark. Altough being in the Oldenburg register she was born in Denmark. Her new rider is Danish rider Agnete Kirk Thinggaard. The twelve year old Gribaldi daughter made a beautiful comeback with Bigwood in 2015 in the dressage. That year they won a silver teammedal during the European Championships in Aachen, while last year they also won a silver medal in the Olympics in Rio. "It was a very difficult decision to sell Tillie on the top of her game. Unfortunately because of personal circumstances im not capable to compete with her very often. Tillie being on the top of her game deserves a rider who can show her potential. She is one of the most talentend and smart horses i've ever ridden", states Fiona Bigwood. Agnete Kirk Thinggaard was on of the Olympic riders for team Denmark in Rio de Janeiro last year. Together with his Hongarian horse Jojo AZ they rode to a sixth place with the Danish team.
