The nine-year-old BWP-mare Sea Coast Kira (Emerald van 't Ruytershof x Querlybet Hero) has been sold to the French rider Mathilde Pinault. The seventeen-year-old Pinault is the daughter of the French businessman François-Henri Pinault and a student of Eduard Mathé. She competes at 1*-level. In February, she won the CSI* 1,10m of Oliva with Seven Moon's Lion and finished fifth in the 1,40m-class with Zigali PS, a horse she recently bought from the Dutch rider Eric van der Vleuten. Kira's ex-rider, the Belgian Gudrun Patteet, now has to say goodbye to another great horse. We saw her riding Kira in Gorla Minora at the end of March, the pair also did great in Vejer de la Frontera earlier. There, they finished fourth in the CSI2* 1,45m. At the World Cup competition of Basel this year, they finished fifth in the CSI5*-W 1,45m, in the CSI3* GP of Dinard they took the bronze.
