Janika Sprunger's Bacardi VDL sold to Jan Tops

A real downer today for the Swiss team that sold the KWPN stallion Bacardi VDL to Duch dealer Jan Tops. The stallion competed with Swiss rider Janika Sprunger at the highest level. A couple years ago Sprunger sold her best horse Palloubet Halong to Jan Tops back in 2013. Now she repeated this story by selling her Bacardi VDL (by VDL Corland) to Tops. It's not yet known who will be the new rider for the horse.
Earlier this year Sprunger and Bacardi won the World Cup of Dubai , while this month the combination started the World Cup competition in Sharjah. The Dutch bred stallion was first seen under Jos Lansink who competed him succesfully in the World Championships for seven year old horses. Finishing with silver it was not long after that he was sold to Sprunger. Since 2016 they had quite the succes with several top three places all over the world including in the Grand Prix of Rotterdam en the Nations Cup in Rotterdam.
