At the Longines Global Champions Tour in Doha, Qatar, the first big class of the day just took place. In this CSI5* 1.50m course which also counted for the Longines Ranking, the riders had to compete against the clock. This was to the advantage of Henrik von Eckermann and Glamour Girl, who are specialists in extremely fast and clear rounds.
Henrik von Eckermann could count on his speed devil Glamour Girl (by VDL Zirocco Blue) to set the winning time of 58.93 seconds. With this, he kept Kevin Staut who had been at the top of the leaderboard for quite some time, from a French victory. Staut rode the fifteen-year-old Tolede de Mescam Harcour (by Mylord Carthago HN) to the silver in 59.24 seconds. Hans-Dieter Dreher and Vestmalle des Cotis (by Baloubet du Rouet) secured third place with a time of 59.96 seconds.
Simon Delestre (Tinka's Hero Z) came in fourth. The top five was completed by Oliver Robert (Vangog du Mas Garnier) who finished fifth.
