Ludo Philippaerts' Challenge vd Begijnakker (by Chellano Z) has found a new rider. The 13 year old gelding won't change stables however as it will be his son Olivier Philippaerts whot akes over the reins. Last weekend the new pair made a strong impression at their national debute, finishing fifth in the 1.45m Grand Prix in Neeroeteren, Belgium. Challenge will travel with Olivier to compete at his American Tour. Starting October 20th they will compete at the World Cup qualifiers in Washington, Lexington and Toronto. In 2013 Challenge and Ludo Philippaerts were a part of the Belgium squad for the European Championships in Herning, Denmark. After an injury at his eye it took until 2014 for a comeback. Among other international victories they won the 1.50m at the CSIO in Sankt Gallen. Later Nicola Philippaerts rode the gelding. The pair collected top ten places at the Global Champions Tour Grand Prix in Estoril. They also won the 1.60m in Toronto, Canada.
