The family Philippaerts feels good on the Canadian soil of Spruce Meadows. The first international trial of the day was again a heavy and technically 1m50 course. Olivier Philippaerts finished his jump-off round with a total of four points. On the back of Quintender (s. Quinar) he ended on the third place. Onl yAbdullah Al Sharbatly (Larkhill Cruiser, v. Cruising) and Christian Ahlmann with the 11 year old Aragon did better with a clear round. Ahlmann finished over four seconds faster as Abdullah Al Sharbatly, good for the victory in this class. Just outside the stage Jur Vrieling represented the Netherlands. Together with the 14 year old VDL Emmerton Vrieling tapped one pole from the spoons in a time of 39,98 seconds. The number 3 of yesterdays 1m50 class, Harrie Smolders and Regina Z, had one jump-fault in the first round. The combination had to be satisfied with an 11th place. Also Nicola Philippaerts had one fence down in this first round. Nicola and Diebrich de Kalvarie (s. Uno de Laubry) ended on the 14th place in this competition. Source: equnews.be - foto: equpics.com
