Darrah Kenny and Sergio Alvarez Moya’s Red Star d'Argent has been sold. On his Instagram account, Kenny writes: “Bittersweet to say that Red Star has been sold, he will in the future be seen with Abdullah Sharbatly. We wish them the best of luck, it was such a great opportunity to ride such an amazing horse. Thank you Red Star!” The 11-year-old Selle Francais gelding by Quick Star was sent to Kenny from his previous rider Sergio Alvarez Moya ahead of the 2016 Winter Equestrian Festival with the aim of selling. Kenny and Red Star d’Argent immediately hit it off, winning the CSI3* $130,000 Grand Prix, the CSIO4* $216,000 Lugano Diamonds Grand Prix and this week the CSI4* $35,000 Ruby et Violette WEF Challenge Cup Round 11.
