Sale of Rising Stars

Because of the good references from recent years and the exciting new collection of young horses, already many people decided to go to the Sale of the Rising Stars, which takes place on 18 January during ICNN Drachten.
The Sale of the Rising Stars made the headlines last year because Castlefield Denver, who was auctioned in 2012, won silver in the World Championship for 5-yr-olds in Lanaken. This son of Quasimodo Z had been the auction star, going for € 75.000,-. Teus van den Brink, who always carefully selects the horses for the sale, is pleased with results like this. “This is the best advertisement you can wish for. You can talk about it, but it works out best when the horses end up with good people who give them all te chance in the world. For example, Dondersteen (by Vaillant) became 5-yr-old Champion Showjumper in Australia and Classic (by Up to Date) was a finalist at the WC in Lanaken under Omar Karaevli. I try to keep track of the sold horses as much as possible and it is great to hear that they are doing well. We sold horses which pleased the buyers. That is the most important thing”, the dealer from Nijkerkerveen explains. In January, as in te previous edition, thirteen young talents, born in 2010 or 2009, are put up for auction. Is there another Denver among them? “Who knows. You can never really compare one horse with another, but this collection contains several real nice horses. Light-footed showjumping horses you would like to see every day. We offer several offspring of Denver’s sire Quasimodo Z, Baltic VDL, Contendro I and Cassini Boy Junior. I have a good feeling about this collection, now we have to wait and see what will happen at the auction,” says Teus van den Brink. The horses can be tried out by appointment. On Saturday 18 January the last presentation starts at 15.00 hours, followed by the auction at 19.00 hours.   © Sales of rising Stars
