"And so it goes, nothing endures but change ~ Lagoheidor is no more." is writen on Facebook by owner Sharon Hardy on the fanpage of the famous Oldernburge stallion. At age of 25 the Landal x Godehard stallion had an ongoing battle with laminitis.  As owner and rider Hardy said:  "We made progress with healing & had setbacks, until finally we lost the war. His condition suddenly & unexpectedly changed on Wednesday. As I saw his foot deteriorating, I had a meltdown" Hardly describes the horse at a once in a lifetime that was more a human than a horse for her. The powerfull stallion has been with the USA rider for 16 years now but started his jouney to dressage greatness as a 2-year-old by winning his Stallion Approvals in Germany. He competed successfully at both international FEI show jumping & dressage level, and produced many international offspring. Due to this LAgoheidor had high ranking in jumping & dressage on the FEI WBFSH World Ranking Lists. He was also selected for the Hanoverian Jumper Breeding Program and is approved for breeding in multiple top breed registries including AHS, GOV, RPSI, and KWPN. "He will be tremendously missed worldwide. I was blessed to have had him as my partner for the past 16-years. He gave me amazing opportunities to compete at major shows and he left a legacy of beautiful babies that I look forward to watching grow up and compete."
