Last Saturday, 28-09-2013, the peaceful town of Koningshooikt in Belgium was the scene for the much anticipated Woodland's International Sales. Just after 20.30h the auction hammer struck for the first time, selling the embryo of the great Lamm de Fetan's full brother or sister at 21.000€ to the Netherlands.
The family De Pelsmaeker confirmed their trust in Woodland's after their success with last years highlight Haziana acquiring 2 horses, Jupiter and Calypso whose dam is ridden by McLain Ward.
Mexico's Frederico Fernandez had the last bid on the 4-year-old Java. The impressive stallion by Castelino van de Helle was sold at 100.000€. But the record price of the evening was reached during the sale of Caipiranja, whose mother, grandmother and great grandmothers were all Grand Prix winners. Stephex Stables and Marc Van Dijck bought this talent at 104.000€. Furthermore horse were sold to Dubai, Chile, USA.
