Last weekend the approved KWPN-stallion, Zapatero VDL competed at the Jumping Schröder Tubbergen with a new rider in the saddle. No longer Vincent Voorn but compatriot Robert Vos competed the stallion. Last week Thuesday, Vos got the Stallion delivered by VDL Stud. "After Jessica Kürten announced her retirement from the highest show jumping level, we started our search for the most fitted rider," states Wiebe -Yde van de Lageweg. "Together with Coach Rob Ehrens we choose for Vincent Voorn. However after the competitions in Lummen and Stallion Show it was decided to search for a better 'match'." Together with Robert Vos, the stallion concluded his first 1.40m class with one jumping fault. "The problem was the different training system of Vincent Voorn. Therefor we now decided to place the stallion with Robert Vos. If we, in the future, have a horse that is more suitable for Vincent we won't hesitate. But for now we are happy to have found a suitable match for Zapatero."
