Kees Van den Oetelaar: "If we all want the same horse in 50 years, then we just have to keep going like this."

Kees van den Oetelaar is an authority in the (Dutch) breeding and horse trading industry. He grew up surrounded by horses but forged his own path, with his own vision and opinion on the sport and breeding. "The way we currently breed is essentially discarding what has been built over the last 100 years..." says the Dutchman. "How the breeding industry should evolve depends on what the next generation wants. If we all want the same horse in 50 years, then we just have to keep going like this."
