Andrew Kocher suspended by the FEI

Yesterday, the FEI announced the news that Andrew Kocher has been temporarily suspended for the use of electric spurs. That decision was taken after an investigation by the FEI after Kocher was suspected of using electrical spurs at multiple events.

A unknown person reported to Grand Prix Info at the end of June that Kocher was using electrical spurs and also included photos as evidence. He also explained how electrical spurs work. The system allows a rider to give electric shocks to a horse thanks to a push-button remote control. That way, a horse can still be forced to jump over an obstacle.
