A 1m45 section of the CSI4* competition was jumped just now in Valkenswaard. There was an 'immediate jump-off' which means that a rider who jumps a clear first round may ride his jump-off immediately afterwards. The Dutch riders came off very well in this class, taking almost the entire podium. Kars Bonhof crowned himself the winner. His 10-year-old Ivory (by Eldorado vd Zeshoek) jumped a clear jump-off in 37.02 seconds, more than enough to take the win.
Harrie Smolders followed in second place. His Escape Z (by Emerald) did not come close to the wood and crossed the finish line in 39.54 seconds. The only non-Dutch rider on the podium was Alberto Zorzi, who counted on Floyd (by Vinesse) to jump a clear round in 39.90 seconds.
The top five was completed by Omer Karaevli (Cheston de la Pomme d'Or Z) and Lorenzo de Luca (Jappeloup).
In the CSI4* Grand Prix qualifier, victory went to Bryan Balsiger. In this class where there was direct against the clock jumping, he was the fastest in the saddle of Chelsea Z (by Chellano Alpha Z). The duo left the wood untouched and clocked off in 65.84 seconds. Lorenzo de Luca followed with Don Vito (by Quaprice Bois Margot) in second place. This combination recorded a clear round behind their name in 66.44 seconds. Omer Karaevli and Maurice (by Thunder vd Zuuthoeve) completed the top three. The duo jumped a clear round in 69.20 seconds.
Mathijs van Asten (Sirocco) and Kevin Jochems (Casillas van de Helle) completed the top five.
