Bryan Balsiger on top in CSI4* Grand Prix of Vilamoura


The Grand Prix of the CSI4 * competition has just been jumped in Vilamoura, Portugal. 50 participants qualified for the Grand Prix and nine of them managed to jump a clear first round. A jump-off with nine had to decide the winner.

That winner was the young Swiss Bryan Balsiger. He rode a clear round in the saddle of the Selle Français mare Twentytwo des Biches (by Mylord Carthago) and finished in 39.36 seconds. Balsinger narrowly stayed ahead of Luciana Diniz, who almost ensured that the win remained in Portuguese hands; The rider ride Vertigo du Desert (by Mylord Carthago HN) to the finish in 39.37 seconds, leaving fences untouched. So she had to very narrowly let the young Swister go. Third place went to François Mathy Jr. He rode Uno de la Roque (by Numero Uno) clear through the jump-off and stopped the chrono after 39.73 seconds.

Yuri Mansur (Qh Alfons Santo Antonio) and Kim Emmen (Jack van het Dennehof) completed the top five.
