Guery jumped a clear round in the saddle of the Zangersheide stallion and finished in 32.26 seconds. He stayed ahead of the Irish rider Alex Duffy, who finished second with Calypso de Beaufour (by Diamant de Semilly). This combination also managed to keep the zero, finishing in 33.86 seconds. Michael Hughes on his turn rode George Z (by Kannan) to third place. The American was able to keep the zero with the stallion and finished in 33.89 seconds.
