CSI5* Samorin: Olivier Robert reigns in opening/rankingclass

In Samorin, the first CSI5* class of the weekend has just been held. It was a 1m45 in which was jumped in two phases. In this class there were also points to be earned for the Longines ranking. Olivier Robert, who already won two GCT Grand Prix this season, jumped to victory. Riding Velvote des Aubiers (by Jaguar Mail), he left all the fences in the air and finished in 23.23 seconds. 

Jessica Springsteen followed in second place. She rode Volage du Val Henry (by Quidam de Revel) to the finish line clear in 24.25 seconds; the best Belgian performance came from Gilles Thomas. He rode Feromas van Beek Z (by Fantomas de Muze) clear in 24.61 seconds, which earned him third place. 

Andrzej Oplatek (Le Cordial) and Darragh Kenny (Storiall Blue) finished in fourth and fifth places.
