EC eventing in Switzerland in 2021, in 2023 in France

Today the FEI decided where this year's European Eventing Championships will take place and Avenches (Switzerland) came out as the winner. Boekelo in the Netherlands was one of the candidates but didn't make it. There is also already a location for the 2023 EC: Haras du Pin (France).

"We are very happy that this year's European Championships will be held in Switzerland. After the postponement of the Games last year, the FEI had cancelled the European Championships of the three Olympic disciplines because the focus was on the Games. However, the equestrian community revolted against this causing the decision to be revised," said FEI Secretary General Sabrina Ibanez.
