Emanuele Gaudiano and Chalou victorious in CSI4* World Cup 1.50m Main Class

The main class of the day in Abu Dhabi was the CSI4* World Cup. Over a course of 1.50m high, only a few managed to stay clear. Emanuele Gaudiano was last to go in the jump-off and had only one clear mission: Stay clear and be faster. Veni, vidi, vici for the Italian and the apart Chalou!

The four-star World Cup class over 1.50m challenged riders in a basic course to clear the jump-off. Only 11 of more than 40 combinations succeeded in this task. Duarte Seabra, yesterday's winner, jumped excellently with Hhs Washington (by Tinaranas Inspector) but was not the fastest. That honor belonged to Emanuele Gaudiano. The Italian had brought his faithful companion Chalou (by Chacco-Blue) and booked the victory. Austria's Gerfried Puck came in third with Equitron Melody vd Smidshoeve (by Epleaser van T Heike).

Celine Schoonbroodt-de Azevedo was in the saddle of Clinto T Z (by Clintissimo Z) and rode the shortened course clear in a time of 39.68. With that she was parked in third place for a long time but the last two combinations put a stop to that so she had to settle for fifth. Trevor Breen managed to get in fourth with Highland President (v. Clinton).

The following class over 1.40m promised an exciting second phase. The victory came in the hands of Jessica Burke who was able to set the fastest second phase with Inpulss (by Dallas VDL). Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida finished second with Pegasus Cekanane (by Kannan) by staying two hundredths ahead of Mariana Frauches Chaves. The Brazilian was in the saddle of Obi van Klapscheut (by Cooper van de Heffinck) and finished third.
