The FEI investigated the matter and noted that during three competitions in Villeneuve, two classes in which ranking points could be earned each time were added only at the very last minute. There was something wrong with the applications as well, which meant that they were wrongly approved by the FEI. The results of the respective classes were therefore deleted.
Karlsson, together with the Romanian rider Andrea Herck, objected to the decision, but that objection was now rejected.
