FEI rejects objection Mathilda Karlsson

Mathilda Karlsson won her much-discussed Olympic ticket during the Villeneuve-Loubet competition in France. Due to a problem with the ranking points in that competition, the FEI decided to delete the results. Therefore, Karlsson lost her Olympic ticket. The lady rider appealed to the FEI Tribunal, but that objection was now rejected.

The problem with the competition in France was that during some classes only five combinations started, which all went home with ranking points. The FEI investigated the matter and noted that during three competitions in Villeneuve, two classes in which ranking points could be earned each time were added only at the very last minute. There was something wrong with the applications as well, which meant that they were wrongly approved by the FEI. The results of the respective classes were therefore deleted.

Karlsson, together with the Romanian rider Andrea Herck, objected to the decision, but that objection was now rejected.
