Jennifer Gates, daughter of and lady rider, is quarantined at home just like everyone else. In an interview with ClipMyHorse, she talked about her love for horses, combining horseback riding with her studies and the best moments of her career so far.
"This year was a real rollercoaster for me. Despite the Corona crisis, I still managed to finish my first year of medical school. This was not easy but I am very happy that I succeeded. I also think we should be happy that we can still work with our horses every day in this crisis, I must admit that little has changed for me: I still rode my horse during this crisis, I focused on school, the only difference was that there are no competitions, but I don't even mind that very much ".
"The best moment of my career so fare? Just the fact that I can participate at the highest level. I honestly never expected that I would succeed. Of course I dreamed of it as a little girl but I thought this would stay a dream. As a child I tried all sports. My mother was also involved with horses but she rode on a recreational basis only. It is by helping her that I fell in love with the sport and the horses and the rest is history ".
