Jos Verlooy, the best U25 rider of the world, is stuck at home, just like anybody else. "I think that, when competitions will start again, we will have a lot of CSI2* shows at first", he says.
More CSI5* competitions are cancelled at Jos Verlooy saw it happening as well: "I think a lot of CSI5* competitions will be cancelled this year. The list of competitions being cancelled is getting longer and longer. I also think that, when we can start again, we will have a lot of CSI2* competitions as well. In Belgium (where Verlooy lives) this may cause a problem since a lot of foreign riders want to ride here as well..."
One of the main goals of Verlooy where the Olympics, but those are not happening anymore right now: "The Olympics were my main goal for this year. I gave my top horse, Igor, some rest in order to shine at this championship but that will not happen this year. Of course it's a shame but that's just how it is right now. I'm working to get Igor in shape again once competitions are starting again. This of course is not easy either since nobody knows when that's going to happen, but once it starts, I will be ready".
