Kevin Gallagher speeds to Grand Prix victory in CSI2* Valencia

In Valencia, the highlight of a busy international weekend has just been jumped: the CSI2 * Grand Prix. Of the 53 staring combinations, eleven were able to keep the zero in the basic course. So a jump-off with 12 had to decide the winner.

That winner became Irishman Kevin Gallagher. He rode Ballypatrick Flamenco (by Je T'Aime Flamenco) clear through the jump-off in 38.94 seconds. With this time he was by far the fastest. Second place went to Matthew Sampson. He was able to keep the zero in the saddle of Cristo Beech (by Its the Business) and finished in 40.05 seconds. Third place was for a Dutchman: Michael Greeve drove Guan Gjb (v. Namelus R) clear to the finish in 40.11 seconds. This earned him the bronze medal.

Cian O'Connor and Cadiz (by Vigo d'Arsouilles) took home fourth place after a clear round in 40.20 seconds. Max Routledge (Chacago's Boy) completed the top five.
