Maikel van der Vleuten wins CSI4* Grand Prix of Hubside

The highlight of the weekend has just been ridden in Hubside: the CSI4* Grand Prix. 42 combinations entered the show ground for this class with jump-off. 16 of them managed to jump a clear first round so a jump-off with 16 combinations had to decide about the winner.

In the end it was the last rider entering the ring who took the victory home. Maikel van der Vleuten and Dana Blue (f. Mr Blue) were the last combination to enter for the jump-off and they knew what they had to to: ride faster than Jos Verlooy, who was leading at that moment. Van der Vleuten did what seemed impossible and rode an even faster round than Verlooy. He and the KWPN mare cleared the jump-off in 26,00 seconds, putting Verlooy into second place.

Jos Verlooy and Igor (f. Emerald) ended on second place. They jumped a clear round in 26,57 seconds. Emilio Bicocchi ended on third place. The Italian rider rode an amazing round with Evita SG Z (f. Verdi TN). Simon Delestre and Berlux Z (f. Eurocommerce Berlin) ended on fourth place. They kept the zero on the score board and finished in 26,89 seconds. The Irish rider Mark Mcauley ended on fifth place with Jasco vd Bisschop.

Earlier today the Belgian rider Gudrun Patteet won the CSI2* Grand Prix with the only 8-year old Sea Coast Monalisa van't Paradijs (v. Bamako de Muze). They jumped a clear jump-off in 32,11 seconds. Julien Epaillard (Usual Suspect d'Auge) and Robin Murh (Vino Z) completed the top three
