In the south-French city, Cannes the first leg of the Global Champions League is set to take place tonight. Meanwhile Richard Vogel didn't miss his start jumping to victory in the CSI5* 1.45m opening class.
The full stage ended in less than a second from each other. Germany's Richard Vogel and his 11-year-old gelding referred Julien Anquetin with his 9-year-old KWPN-gelding, Ivizi (Ustinov) to the runner-up position. As one of the last at the start Andreas Schou jumped on stage.
The Danish showjumping rider placed third aboard his 9-year-old KWPN-gelding, I Know (Arezzo VDL).
The pair was followed by France's home-hero, Simon Delestre with his trusted Tinka's Hero Z (Tinka's Boy). The pair kept it clear. Niels Bruynseels (BEL) completed the top five with his daughter of Diamant de Semilly, Diornella-D.
