Double win for Sanne Thijssen, who leads Con Quidam RB to victory in CSI4* 1.50m Big Tour at Vejer de La Frontera

In the main class of the Sunshine Tour, Sanne Thijssen popped to the top spot on Con Quidam Rb (by Quinar Z) early in the class and did not let go of it her spot. The Dutch rider was also victorious in the previous CSI4* 1.30m.

The WKD Big Tour had set the jumps at 1.50m and challenged riders in a round against the clock. Sanne Thijssen (NED) had to start early in the class, as twelfth out of just under 50 competitors, she entered the arena on Con Quidam Rb (by Quinar Z). The course left no room for mistakes and Thijssen clearly had a goal in mind. With the seventeen-year-old stallion, she flew through the course and stopped the clock at 63.72, the fastest time then being. No following combination seemed to be able to improve their time and after Alexander Butler's (IRL) round it was clear - Thijssen won on Con Quidam Rb! Butler stranded at four with the KWPN-bred Chilli B (by Berlin).

Second and third position were taken by two home riders. Eduardo Alvarez Aznar (ESP) rode to a second place on Enjoy de La Mure (v. Vigo Cece) followed by compatriot Teresa Blazquez-Abascal (ESP) with Nasa de Toxandria (v. Vertigo Saint Benoit).

The victory of the CSI4* Medium Tour over 1.30m also went to Thijssen (NED), this time on Mascotte of the Paddocks (v. Corland). Alvaro Gonzalez De Zarate Fernandez (ESP) came in second with Beetlejuice (v. Baloubet du Rouet) followed by Ella Clancy (IRL) who became third with Corraghoe Steel (v. Mermus R).

Estrat Mateu (ESP) kept the win of the CSI4* Medium Tour 1.40m in his own country and won on Kontessa Ten Braem (v. Cornet Obolensky). Jude Burgess (GBR) was second with Dreams of Don (v. Don Vhp Z) while third place was taken by Olivier Robert (FRA) and Vadrouille d'Avril (v. Popayann).
